Staff and Leadership at Evergreen Baptist Church
I have been married to my wife, Diana for 27 years. We have three children, ages 26, 19, and 11! I began as Youth Director back in 2003 here at Evergreen. In 2007, I surrendered to the ministry and became a full time Student Pastor at Round Prairie Baptist Church in Fairfield, Texas in 2008. I was student pastor there at Round Prairie for seven (7) years. In only the work of God back in 2015 we found ourselves in Iola to stay. The Lord was giving us rest but we still had the desire and passion and knew God wasn’t done writing our story…In June of 2016 I was hired on as part-time Student Pastor here at Evergreen where it all started years ago…being the hands and feet of God. In May 2017, Evergreen asked me to serve as the Interim Pastor and then on September 10th 2017 the church called me to be the full time pastor.
Children’s Ministry Director
I have been married to my husband for 24 years and have two grown sons. My calling toward children started in my college years where I felt led to study Early Childhood Education. Over the years, I have cared for toddlers and children in a day care setting as well as taught Pre-K in a private school in East Texas; which is where my husband and I are originally from. We have lived in the BCS area for over 20 years. Before coming to Evergreen, I served as a teacher, VBS coordinator, and Childrens Ministry Leader at ABC Anderson. I see weekly, ways in which God is touching the hearts of the Kidz here at Evergreen. I am blessed to be a part of what God is doing here!
- We believe there is one true and living God. He is infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- We Believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, being true God and true man. He is the only means by which there can be salvation.
- We believe that the bible were given by inspirations of God, and are our infallible rule of faith and practice.
- We will seek to praise and worship Him passionately – as individuals, as families, and as a local church.
